What Is SPREI?
The SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE INSPECTORS is a national
educational organization dedicated to providing the highest level of
educational achievement for home/building inspectors.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN SPREI?
Anyone who is interested in improving his or her skills as an inspector
is welcomed to join the SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE INSPECTORS. SPREI
does not require past experience or background in the inspection profession.
All that is required in becoming a member is a willingness to apply ones self
to self-education.
By simply filling out the application form and submitting the low
annual fee, you will start yourself on the way to becoming an educated and
informed real estate inspector.
WHY WAS SPREI FOUNDED?
The SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE INSPECTORS was founded by
Joseph V. Scaduto and Michael J. Scaduto, nationally recognized experts and
authors in the real estate inspection profession. After speaking to hundreds of
inspectors across the country, they realized that there was a missing link in
the education process and educational materials for the inspection
professional. It was with this in mind that prompted them to develop the
organization to educate inspectors, as well as the educational materials that
would meet their needs.
IS SPREI IN COMPETITION WITH OTHER INSPECTION
ORGANIZATIONS?
The SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE INSPECTORS has no desire to be
in competition with other national organizations. Many SPREI members are also
members of other national and state inspection groups. SPREI welcomes
and encourages an interaction between all inspection groups and
organizations in order to promote higher educational standards and an
understanding of the industry.
